Job summary

Staff Accountant position with Dahl Consulting in Glenwood, MN accepting a full-time onsite role. The candidate will maintain financial records, support reporting activities, complete reconciliations, and assist with daily accounting operations within a banking/financial services context.

Responsibilities include month-end/year-end close support, internal financial statements, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. M–F onsite.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and month-end close processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelors degree preferred in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in banking/financial services or regulated industry.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established community financial institution, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where accuracy, compliance, and financial stewardship are essential. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, supporting reporting activities, completing reconciliations, and assisting with daily accounting operations. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Glenwood, Minnesota, with a standard Monday-Friday schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working within the banking industry provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting functions while contributing to an organization dedicated to serving local businesses, individuals, and communities.

• Previous accounting experience within a banking, financial services, or regulated industry environment.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting, accounts payable, and accrual accounting.
• Familiarity with financial institution reporting requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of banking operations and financial controls.
