Job summary

Foti, Flynn, Lowen & Co. is seeking an accountant/bookkeeper to handle bookkeeping for multiple clients, maintain records, and prepare monthly financial statements. The role includes payroll processing, checks, direct deposits, tax deposits, and garnishments, plus year-end cleanup and client QuickBooks training.

The flexible schedule allows some remote work after six months of training and a varied weekly Hours pattern, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payrolls and payroll tax returns.
• Preparing monthly financial statements.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Preference given to individuals with public accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping and accounting records for assigned clients, including general journal entries, cash accounts, bill paying, and monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare compiled financial statements after accounts are reconciled and journal entries recorded.
• Manage multiple payrolls: create checks, direct deposits, tax deposits, garnishments, and payroll tax returns.
• Perform additional duties such as business license prep, property tax returns, 1099s, QuickBooks training for clients, and year-end cleanup.
