Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field.
• Minimum of five years of accounting or finance experience required.
• Must reside within 45 miles of local Bookminders’ office.
• Experience with general ledger accounting software required.
• Excellent communication and computer skills required.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to standards.
• Home office setup and reliable internet required where applicable.
• Occasional client meetings and trainings during standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting system for small business and non-profit clients following Bookminders procedures.
• Apply fundamental accounting principles to process client accounting data accurately, including time and expense billing, job costing, and reporting.
• Understand and apply Bookminders’ standards, suggest procedural improvements, and ensure accounts meet current standards.
• Comprehend client needs and implement Bookminders’ service to deliver required information.
• Attend brief weekly meetings with the client to discuss financials.
• Track and report client billing information in a timely, accurate manner.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with assigned clients.
