Marcus Performing Arts Center is seeking a Staff Accountant who will lead a broad set of accounting duties for our facility and its shared services clients under the Accounting Manager. This role includes creating, updating and reviewing accounting records, managing fixed assets, month-end close, payroll postings, 1099-NEC/MISC forms, and AP support.

A strong Excel background, experience with general ledger software (Financial Edge preferred), and clear communication are essential in our team

Qualifications

• An associate degree or 2 years of related professional work experience in finance.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and other complex formulas.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn in role.
• Experience using general ledger accounting software, Financial Edge preferred.

Responsabilités

• Create/update/maintain accounting records for Marcus Performing Arts Center and shared services clients.
• Prepare journal entries including Payroll, show labor, and corrections as needed.
• Process weekly/monthly Merchant account entries and 1099-NEC/MISC forms.
• Process Unclaimed Property to state; support annual audit.
• Update credit card transactions (Ramp platform) and reconcile statements.
• Accounts Payable backup to Accounting Associate; assist in special projects.
