Job summary

Applied Digital is seeking a highly detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The role focuses on construction-in-progress and fixed assets accounting, ensuring GAAP compliance and supporting month-end close processes in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of general accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• 3–7 years of general accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting system including tracking construction and Capex activity, booking journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities for accrued liabilities and deposits/prepaids.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting areas.
• Adhere to internal control processes and policies.
• Collaborate with auditors by providing documentation during audits.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis for management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in workflows and systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support initiatives.
• Stay informed on accounting regulations and best practices.
