Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an accounting professional to join our Financial Operations Reporting team. The role involves preparing drafts of financial statements, reconciliations, posting journal entries, and maintaining fixed assets schedules.

The position requires a BS or BBA in accounting or business, 1-2 years of accounting experience, and proficiency with PC-based spreadsheets. Scheduling is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
• One to two years accounting experience.
• Proficient with PC-based spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepares drafts of financial statements.
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations; analyzes supporting schedules and general ledger accounts.
• Prepares and posts general and standard journal entries as required.
• Maintains fixed assets system; prepares schedules and project-related documentation.
• Analyzes billing and intercompany transactions; ensures revenue is recorded.
• Assists in audit work papers and tax return schedules.
