United Medical Systems is a mobile healthcare services company based in Westborough, Massachusetts. We seek a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with strong Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 13 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Jet Reporting and Adaptive a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable as needed.
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis; maintain documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Other Ad Hoc Projects.
