Job summary

Geeslin Group is seeking a Staff Accountant - Client Accounting Services (CAS) to manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of clients, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, processing payroll and vendor payments, and preparing financial statements.

Under the CAS Manager, you will prepare trial balances and workpapers, track deadlines, and help ensure year-round compliance. You will serve as day-to-day contact, delivering guidance and building trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• 1+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience; public accounting and payroll experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and full accounting cycle.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Office, and other accounting software.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain client charts of accounts; post and verify transactions.
• Download/import and categorize transactions from bank feeds and apps.
• Reconcile bank, credit cards, loans, and subsidiary accounts monthly.
• Review client information for discrepancies and ensure compliance.
• Process vendor payments, invoicing, and accounts receivable collections.
• Process payroll and prepare payroll tax returns and W-2s.
• Prepare financial statements and depreciation schedules for review.
• Prepare tax-related workpapers and timelines for the CAS Manager.
• Provide accounting guidance and software support to clients.
