Job summary

Sikich is seeking a Manager, Client Accounting Services (CAS), who will lead outsourced accounting engagements for a portfolio of clients, acting as Controller or Accounting Manager. You will drive accurate financial reporting, oversee month-end close, and ensure GAAP adherence while guiding staff and engaging with clients to support operations and strategic decisions.

You will mentor team members, partner with tax, audit, and advisory groups, manage deadlines, and pursue process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• CPA certification preferred
• Five plus years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or outsourced accounting services
• Two plus years of supervisory or team leadership
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Experience with Controller/Accounting Manager capacity for multiple clients
• Experience with Consumer Product Goods preferred
• Proficiency with ERP systems (QBO, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Strong project management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Controller/Accounting Manager for assigned clients and oversee all accounting functions
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely financial reporting
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for GAAP compliance
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to clients and stakeholders
• Establish and improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows
• Manage client relationships as trusted financial advisor
• Coordinate and manage client deliverables and engagement scope
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Assist with system implementations and accounting clean-up projects
• Collaborate with tax, audit, and advisory teams
• Mentor and develop team members; delegate with accountability
• Identify opportunities for additional CAS services
