Job summary

Formic is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Finance team in a role centered on audit readiness, month-end close, and process improvement. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain rigorous controls, and drive continuous improvement across the accounting function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience incl. general ledger, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations
• Experience supporting financial audits, audit readiness, or external auditor requests
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills with supporting schedules and reconciliations
• Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive work to completion
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Analytical mindset with strong project management skills

Responsibilities

• Audit Support & Readiness: respond to auditor requests and coordinate materials across systems and stakeholders; prepare for 2026 audit cycle with scalable processes
• Month-End Close & General Ledger Accounting: assist close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; improve timeliness and accuracy of deliverables; support financial reporting
• Accounting Operations & Process Improvement: partner with Supply Chain Manager on inventory processes; assist with reconciliations, accruals, and documentation; create clear process documentation
