Optimum Energy Co LLC in Oregon seeks a Staff Accountant to own day-to-day accounts payable, review invoices, support weekly check runs, and reconcile vendor statements. You will also prepare journal entries and month-end reconciliations, and code monthly credit card receipts in NetSuite.

Responsibilities include fixed assets depreciation, sales tax filings, audit support, and collaboration on special projects with the Senior Accountant and Controller. Strong Excel and GAAP knowledge required.

Formación

• 1–2 years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles including AR, AP, accruals, and general ledger.
• Working knowledge of GAAP preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Accounts Payable: Review invoices for proper support and approval; assist with weekly check runs; reconcile vendor statements.
• Month-End Close: Reconcile accruals and accounts payable; prepare journal entries; reconcile bank accounts; maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate monthly depreciation.
• Credit Card & Expense Reporting: Code and enter monthly credit card receipts in NetSuite; assist with expense reporting.
• Tax & Audit Support: Assist with monthly state sales tax filings and audits.
• Special Projects: Support Senior Accountant and Controller; create Excel tracking sheets for projects.
