Job summary

Power Systems West in Portland, OR is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team with accurate invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.

You will maintain vendor records, ensure approvals and coding accuracy, and assist with month-end close and audits in a high-volume environment. This role offers growth within a family-owned company focused on safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables).
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume (300+ per week) of vendor invoices accurately and timely using Priority ERP.
• Review invoices for proper approvals, coding accuracy, and 2-way/3-way matching.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate/resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the AP inbox, respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Support month-end close processes, including accruals and audits.
