Job summary

Alvaria is seeking a Senior Accountant in the United States (Kentucky region) to oversee the full-cycle close, leveraging AI tools to streamline operations and improve accuracy. The role involves collaboration with the finance team, ensuring GAAP compliance, and supporting external audits.

You will review AI-generated entries, perform variance analysis, and help scale automated accounting processes across the close cycle.

Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
2+ years of audit experience in public accounting preferred
BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent
Experience with financial statement analysis and GAAP understanding
Hands-on experience with AI and automation tools used to streamline accounting processes
Proficient with Microsoft Excel; Oracle/NetSuite experience a plus

Responsibilities

Execute full-cycle month-end close including accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and intercompany eliminations
Use AI-powered accounting software to automate data entry, matching, and anomaly detection
Review AI-generated journal entries and reconciliations and manage automated workflows
Perform preliminary variance analysis with AI tools for insights
Review AI-flagged anomalies and manage receipts and variance warnings
Collaborate with finance to test and implement new AI and automation platforms
Design scalable accounting workflows by reducing manual steps
