The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel and QuickBooks skills, and a diligent, collaborative attitude to support audits and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 2–4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.

Pure Family Fitness is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This is a hands-on accounting role for someone with a solid foundation in general ledger accounting who is ready to take ownership of their work, expand their experience, and grow professionally.

Working directly with the Controller, you'll gain broad exposure to the accounting operations of a growing, multi-entity organization while building the skills and experience needed to advance into a senior accounting role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
• Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies
• Review general ledger activity for accuracy and proper classification
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal management reports
• Analyze financial results and identify unusual trends, variances, or inconsistencies
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting schedules
• Assist the Controller with audit, tax, lender, and year-end reporting requirements
• Help develop and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls
• Support special accounting and financial analysis projects as needed

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 2-4+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• QuickBooks experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Controller
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential financial information

This position does not currently include supervisory responsibilities.
