Job summary

MOHR Talent in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant for a 3–6 month contract with a clear path to a permanent role. This in‑person position covers reconciliations, intercompany activity, insurance and claims follow‑up, and close support.

You will prepare bank reconciliations across entities, manage GL accounts, process AP/AR adjustments, and run weekly payroll and insurance schedules. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in accounting and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in accounting, bookkeeping, or related accounting role.
• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, GL accounts, AP/AR, and account analysis.
• Intercompany or multi-entity exposure strongly preferred.
• Highly organized, with the ability to juggle recurring daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• Sharp attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfortable handling confidential financial and employee information.
• Insurance, claims, risk, or safety exposure is a plus, and training is provided.

A well established and growing distribution company with a collaborative team that cares about their people is hiring a Staff Accountant. This is a hands‑on role with real variety. You will move between reconciliations, intercompany activity, insurance and claims follow‑up, and safety monitoring. Conversion to a full‑time role can happen sooner for the right person.

What You'll Do:
