Job summary

SPEEDVEGAS Motorsports Park is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Las Vegas. You will own accounts payable, inventory accounting and fleet asset accounting while supporting the monthly close with journal entries, reconciliations and analysis.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 2–4 years of accounting experience with strong US GAAP knowledge. ERP experience and advanced Excel skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable: manage full AP cycle, vendor relations, month-end accruals and reconciliations.
• Fleet and fixed assets: amortization schedules, loan payments and fixed asset roll-forward.
• Revenue and cash: record journal entries for AR, deferred revenue, deposits; reconcile bank accounts.
• Month-end close: own checklist and ensure timely close; perform analyses.

Speed Vegas is home to world-class driving and entertainment experiences, from exotic supercar driving to high-adrenaline karting and off-road adventures. We’re growing, with new attractions on the way: drift go-karts, a multi-level indoor karting track and a mini-tank off-road adventure. We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and help drive us into the future.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant keeps our books accurate and our close on schedule. The role owns accounts payable, inventory accounting and accounting for our vehicle fleet, and supports the month-end close through journal entries, reconciliations and analysis.

Responsibilities

Accounts payable

• Manage the full AP cycle, including vendor relations, statement reconciliations, month-end accruals and the related balance sheet reconciliations.
• Run weekly inventory cycle counts and update inventory records.
• Prepare and post cost of goods sold (COGS) entries based on sales activity.
• Complete month-end inventory reconciliations, and find and resolve any discrepancies.

Fleet and fixed assets

• Build and maintain amortization schedules for fleet loans, process monthly loan payments and reconcile the related accounts.
• Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries and maintain fixed asset roll-forward schedules.

Revenue and cash

• Record daily and weekly journal entries for accounts receivable, deferred revenue and customer deposits, using data from our point-of-sale system.
• Reconcile bank accounts and merchant deposits, and look into variances quickly.

Month-end close

• Own the month-end close checklist so every material transaction is captured and deadlines are met.
• Complete accounting analysis and other assignments as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries and account reconciliations
• Solid understanding of accounts payable
• Experience with an ERP system and strong Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables)
• Able to analyze financial data, spot discrepancies and explain findings clearly

Nice to Have

• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Inventory, fixed asset or fleet accounting experience
• Multi-entity accounting experience
• Background in hospitality, entertainment or retail

Compensation and Benefits

• $60,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience
