SpeedVegas, a premier entertainment and driving destination in Sloan, NV, seeks a Staff Accountant to maintain the general ledger, run the month-end close, and ensure precise financial reporting. You will handle accounts payable, inventory, and fleet amortization while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires 2–4 years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor relations and reconciliations.
• Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts and update inventory records.
• Prepare and post COGS entries based on sales activity.
• Perform month-end inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Build and maintain amortization schedules for fleet loans and reconcile payments.
• Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries for fixed assets.
• Record daily/weekly journal entries for AR, deferred revenue, and deposits from POS data.
• Reconcile bank accounts and merchant deposits, resolve variances.
• Own the month-end close checklist and meet deadlines.
• Perform accounting analysis and related tasks as needed.
