Job summary

SpeedVegas is seeking a Staff Accountant in Sloan, NV to support accurate financial reporting by maintaining general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries. You will manage accounts payable, inventory processes, and fleet-related amortization and depreciation, while ensuring timely month-end close and reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2–4 years of experience with US GAAP, ERP systems, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Understanding of accounts payable.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounts payable cycle, vendor relations, reconciliations and month-end accruals.
• Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts and update records for accuracy.
• Prepare and post cost of goods sold entries based on sales activity.
• Perform month-end inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Build amortization schedules for fleet loans and process payments.
• Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries for fixed assets.
• Record daily/weekly journal entries for AR, deferred revenue, and deposits.
• Reconcile bank accounts and merchant deposits; investigate variances.
• Own the month-end close checklist and meet deadlines.
• Complete accounting analyses and related tasks as needed.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and help drive us into the future.Position Summary: The Staff Accountant supports accurate and timely financial reporting by maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and completing account reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing accounts payable, and overseeing accounting for the company’s vehicle fleet.Responsibilities* Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor relations, statement reconciliations, month-end accruals, and related balance sheet reconciliations.* Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts audits and update inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance.* Prepare and post cost of goods sold (COGS) entries based on sales activity.* Perform month-end inventory reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.* Build and maintain amortization schedules for fleet loans, process monthly payments, and perform related reconciliations.* Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries for fixed assets and maintain asset roll-forward schedules.* Record daily and weekly journal entries for accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and customer deposits using data from the point-of-sale system.* Reconcile bank accounts and merchant deposit activity, investigating and resolving variances promptly.* Own the month-end close checklist, ensuring all material transactions are captured and deadlines are consistently met.* Complete accounting analysis and other related assignments as needed.## Qualifications**Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.* 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.* Working knowledge of US GAAP.* Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.* Experience preparing journal entries and monthly reconciliations.* Understanding of accounts payable* Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.* Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly**Compensation:*** **60k-65k(DOE)**
