Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. You will handle daily and monthly accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and audit tasks, working independently with established guidelines.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-/year-end close, GAAP adherence, and supporting audits. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and 2–4 years of experience are required; US citizenship is a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Clearable U.S. Citizenship required.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience; government contracting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Unanet and Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Understanding of internal controls including SOX compliance.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Responsible for general and inventory accounting.
• Generate financial reports and variance analysis. Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company accounting policies.
• Support the corporate rate structure for government contractors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, control enhancements, and documentation standardization.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as requested.

What Impact You'll Have:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team.
