Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Senior Accountant in McLean, VA to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and ensure GAAP compliance. You will prepare financial schedules, analyze data for trends, and assist audits in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years of accounting experience, knowledge of internal controls, and experience with Deltek Costpoint. U.S. citizenship is required and CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Clearable U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience; government contracting is a plus.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Understanding of internal controls, including Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a mid to large corporate environment.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement schedules.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements with clear documentation and timely responses.
  • Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new standards.
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and operations.
  • Assist with system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process simplification.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

What Impact You’ll Have:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s financial close processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
