POSITION: Staff Accountant

We are looking for a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our Houston office, working closely with our Senior Controller and various teams.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Assist controllers with month-end reports reconciliation to the general ledger
• Support budget preparation and monitoring
• Create Excel pivot tables
• Prepare sales and use tax returns for various jurisdictions
• Work on obtaining and renewing contractor and business licenses
• Post journal entries, including job cost accruals and insurance
• Collaborate on month-end close and financial statement preparation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 1-3 years of related experience
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Knowledge of payroll concepts and tax withholdings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with Viewpoint Software or similar ERP systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
