Job summary

West Shore Home is seeking a Staff Accountant to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis. You will compile data, prepare journal entries, and assist with closing processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and strong Excel skills; CPA is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position at our Mechanicsburg, PA location with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly closing by preparing journal entries.
• Perform general ledger analyses and reconcile accounts monthly.

• Support audits with necessary documentation.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM (Full-Time)

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will compile and audit data and reports to support internal and external reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis and manager review.

Key Role Accountabilities

• Participate in closing accounting books and finalize the financial records monthly (5 business day goal) by preparing applicable journal entries timely and accurately.
• Perform general ledger account analysis and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis.
• Compile data and reports to support internal and external reporting as necessary.
• Provide additional support for internal and external audits as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred, not required.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
