Lundy Management Group, LLC (LMG) is a well-established full-service commercial property management firm serving the Triangle area. We are seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to support financial operations for our portfolio of properties.

The role involves collaborating with the property management team to ensure accurate financial reporting, cash management, and timely month-end close. This position offers a flexible work environment with options for working from the office or remotely.

Qualifications

• Experience in Property Management Accounting.
• Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest ethical standard in financial management.

Responsibilities

• Post dues and rent receipts, compare with expected revenue for each entity/property.
• Collect income due and report delinquencies.
• Assist in deposits to optimize cash management.
• Enter approved invoices into software (Yardi).
• Maintain rent rolls, budget comparisons, and property data for current leases.
• Reconcile bank accounts and report deficiencies.
• Monitor revenues, issue notices for accounts receivable delinquencies.
• Collaborate with property managers to collect revenue.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for clients and CFO review.
• Prepare year-end tax reporting and assist with audits.

Position Overview: Lundy Management Group, LLC (LMG) is a well-established full service commercial property management firm serving the Triangle and greater Triangle area. As a family-owned and operated business based in Raleigh, NC we take pride in our commitment to delivering top-tier financial and property management services to our clients. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication and interpersonal skills who is ready to join our team as an entry level staff accountant.

Responsibilities: This position will play an integral role in supporting the financial operations and reporting for LMG and its portfolio of commercial real estate entities. This position will collaborate closely with the property management team to ensure the the highest standard of financial excellence for our clients.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Weekly or as often as needed during the week
  • Posting dues receipts, rent receipts, and compare them with expected revenue for each entity/property.
  • Collecting all income due and reporting any problem accounts or delinquencies.
  • Assist in timely completion of deposits to optimize cash management.
  • Reviewing and entering approved invoices into the software, (Yardi).
  • Maintaining and communicating up-to-date information, including rent rolls, budget comparisons, and property specific data for current leases.

  • Monitoring revenues for each entity, review and issuing notices for any accounts receivable delinquencies.
  • Collaborating with property managers to collect revenue.
  • Facilitating outgoing checks or EFT payments to external vendors.
  • Preparing monthly financial reports and updates for client communication and submit to CFO for review.
• Preparing required reviews of income and expense actual performance against projected performance and notify CFO of any significant variations.
• Reviewing budgets and overall financial health of the properties with respective property management team.

  • Preparing year-end tax reporting and assist with any audits.
  • Collaborating with property management in the preparing projected budgets for income and expenses and update as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Property Management Accounting.
• Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience.)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency Microsoft Office and in accounting software, especially Yardi, is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest ethical standard in financial management.
