Job summary

Levy Restaurants at Soldier Field in Chicago is seeking an HR Assistant to provide organized, detail-oriented support to the HR team, assist with onboarding and payroll-related documentation, and help ensure compliant HR processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain accurate employee records, support training and employee programs, and serve as a resource for team members while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
• Previous administrative or HR experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems/software.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with close attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A high level of confidentiality, discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
• Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and compliance docs.
• Prepare HR reports and documents, including payroll-related information and union dues.
• Support onboarding processes, including I-9 completion and Creating Legends activities.
• Coordinate Creating Legends and other employee programs and initiatives.
• Respond to team inquiries regarding HR policies and resources; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate employee training, orientation, and required certifications.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR practices.
• Assist with development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team.
