Job summary

Bachoco USA is hiring for a 2nd Shift Slaughter Plant position in Fort Smith, AR. Dept. 105 - Cut Up focuses on moving and preparing product for labeling and packaging.

Employees will lift, stack, and wrap cases, ensuring safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced environment. Employees may receive a nightly premium, attendance incentives, and benefits including 401K, medical, dental, and vision. Position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds; safety rules

Responsibilities

• Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required
• Bring pallets to line; verify pallet condition
• Apply pallet sheet as applicable; tape boxes
• Verify labels on cases; wrap full pallets
• Move product with hand or power jack as trained
• Maintain a safe, sanitary work area
• Stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Follow PIE training and safety procedures

2nd Shift: Slaughter Plant

Dept. 105 - Cut Up HEAVY LIFTING

Shift Hours: 4:50 p.m. to EOS

Pay Rate: $ 16.50 per hour

Assist in the production of quality food products by performing the following duties as applicable to a specific task or department. Essential duties and responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to: Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required; Bring pallets to line; Verify pallet is in good condition and meets company requirements; Apply pallet sheet as applicable; Stack cases of product on pallet to meet customer and/or company specification; Tape any cases that were not taped during normal process; Assist Manifestor with labels on cases as needed; Verify all cases of product have appropriate labels; Wrap Full Pallets; Uses a hand or power jack to move product away from the line after proper PIE training as required and based on production needs; and maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner.Production workers are required to stand for a period of time, walk, and reach with hands and/or arms. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 POUNDS . Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
