Job summary

Bachoco Group in Fort Smith, AR, seeks a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) to support the Further Processing Plant. You will unload/load trailers, move product, and assist in production in a cold environment.

The position offers $16.50 per hour with incentives and comprehensive benefits, including time-based pay increases and holidays, plus paid time off after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing/distribution setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold environments.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring strict adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set-up/tear-down workstation and line as required.
• Unload/load inbound, outbound and transfer trailers.
• Move product within the distribution process; assist in production.
• Maintain dock area and equipment free of debris and hazards.
• Work in temperatures ranging from zero to minus twenty degrees Fahrenheit.

2nd Shift - Further Processing Plant

Dept. 167 Forklift Operator

Shift Hours: 11 a - 7:30 p

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour.

Assist in the production of quality food products by performing the following duties as applicable to a specific task or department. Essential duties and responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:

• Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required;
• Assists in movement of product within the distribution process;
• Unloading/loading of inbound, outbound and transfer trailers;
• Moving of product from one area to another;
• Have the ability to work in temps ranging from zero to minus twenty degrees Fahrenheit;
• Keep dock floors and equipment clear of debris including but not limited to stretch wrap, wood, dust, snow, ice and exposed product;
• Up-stacking or down-stacking of product for storage, loading and inventories;
• Pass all requirements to be a PIE operator for OK Foods;
• Maintain an absentee rate of 5% or less.
• and maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Production workers are required to stand for a period, walk, and reach with hands and/or arms.
• The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 POUNDS.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold.
