Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Systems Security Engineering Section Lead - M4 to lead the SSE department onsite. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, strong SSE background, and leadership experience to guide security initiatives across defense programs.

The position emphasizes collaboration with program managers, customers, and HR to hire, develop, and retain top security talent, while delivering architecture guidance and secure solutions aligned with DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required prior to start date.
• Experience in System Security Engineering and/or Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Experience with NIST RMF is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture guidance and SSE expertise across programs.
• Lead workforce planning, hiring, and talent development within SSE.
• Coordinate with Program Managers, CAMs, and IPTLs to align security objectives with program goals.
• Define SSE requirements with customers and assess system security trade‑offs.
• Oversee security controls planning, testing, and implementation across systems.
