Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Systems Security Engineering Section Lead - M4 for an onsite role to shape cyber‑resilient systems across critical defense programs. You will lead the SSE team, ensure security rigor, and guide the engineering effort from concept to delivery.

Join a team delivering secure solutions, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with program managers and customers while driving risk mitigation and secure development practices.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government DoD Secret security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in System Security Engineering and/or Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Experience working with the NIST RMF.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SSE section: guide career planning and develop internal talent.
• Translate strategy into direction for the section and communicate with leaders.
• Oversee workforce planning to ensure right talent for programs.
• Manage tasking and position team for success and development.
• Drive hiring: shape requisitions, interview, and onboard new staff.
• Collaborate with HR on personnel matters and with program managers on objectives.
• Engage with customers to define SSE requirements and evaluate solutions.
