Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Security Engineering Section Lead for an onsite role in Fullerton, CA. You will lead the SSE team, ensuring secure system solutions across defense programs, with an emphasis on RMF compliance and DoD requirements.

This senior role requires a DoD Secret clearance, STEM degree, and a track record of steering engineering teams, shaping SSE strategies, and delivering risk‑mitigated designs within program deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required before start date; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in System Security Engineering and/or Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Experience with NIST RMF and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to SSE team, mentoring and career development.
• Translate business strategies into actionable SSE goals for the section.
• Lead workforce planning to ensure the right talent is available when needed.
• Oversee tasking, performance, and development of section members.
• Lead hiring processes: requisitions, resumes, interviews, and onboarding.
