Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an SSD Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects for same-day delivery infrastructure. You will plan and execute facility builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives with a focus on data-driven decisions and risk mitigation.

This role requires travel and close collaboration with internal and external teams to meet ambitious delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• Ability to travel up to 80%.
• Experience working with third-party vendors is a plus.
• Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, supervise and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned project.
• Partner with customers and internal/external teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
• Monitor and report on the progress of all project activity including milestones and cost/schedule impacts.
• Identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
• Manage project budget and approve all purchase orders.
• Travel up to 80%.
