Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sub Same Day (SSD) Operations Engineer in Arlington, VA to lead the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, planning and executing facility infrastructure for new builds, retrofits, expansions and program initiatives. You will collaborate with customers and internal/external teams to meet timelines and deliverables.

This role requires strong project management, data-driven decision making, and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, formulae, and data visualization.
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
3+ years of program or project management experience.
Ability to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, supervise and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned project.
Partner with customers and internal/external teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
Monitor and report on the progress of all project activity including significant milestones and conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
Manage project budget and approve all purchase orders.
Travel up to 80%.
