Job summary

Amazon is seeking an SSD Operations Engineer to lead the lifecycle of cross-functional projects across facility infrastructure for new builds, retrofits, expansions and programs. You will be a customer-obsessed leader driving planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment for fast-paced operations.

In this role you will plan and direct project activities, manage budgets, and collaborate with internal and external teams while traveling up to 80% to support sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• Ability to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, supervise and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned project.
• Partner with customers and internal/external teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
• Monitor and report on the progress of all project activity including significant milestones and conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
• Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
• Manage project budget and approve all purchase orders.
• Travel up to 80%.
