Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an SSD Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects for site configurations, readiness, and end-to-end testing for new facilities, retrofits, and expansions.

You will validate systems and installations before go-live, partner with Launch, IT, Startup, Engineering, and Operations, and manage timelines while traveling up to 80% domestically. A strong technical and stakeholder-management background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through launch readiness and go-live phases.
• Experience building launch readiness frameworks and scalable deployment mechanisms across sites.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office at an advanced level (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project).
• 3+ years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing and validation of site configurations for new launches and retrofits.
• Partner with Launch, IT, Startup, Engineering and Operations to set priorities and milestones.
• Assess readiness, identify gaps, and drive solutions to mitigate impact.
• Lead coordination to ensure systems and processes function per standards.
• Monitor testing progress and report milestones affecting cost or schedule.
• Solve complex problems and develop scalable readiness processes.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships for alignment and handover.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and visibility.
• Travel up to 80% domestically, potentially three weeks in a row including weekends.
