Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join our SRE Organization in North Bethesda, MD. In this role, you will help reliability and performance of our infrastructure and software systems across engineering teams, enabling fast, safe deployment of features for our customers.

Responsibilities include taking ownership of problems, writing clean code, collaborating across teams, and maintaining platforms on AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of infrastructure management or backend development experience in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, or Unix Shell.
• Experience with AWS including deploying, monitoring, and scaling production workloads.
• Familiar with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Comfortable working in an on-call/operational setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned problems and drive them to completion with guidance from senior engineers.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while improving existing systems and features.
• Estimate timelines for features and tasks, balancing effort, risk, and impact.
• Collaborate across teams; communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes clearly.
• Maintain and optimize infrastructure and tooling for deployed software (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Develop and maintain observability and monitoring tooling (Coralogix, Sentry).
• Ensure reliability, performance, and on-call readiness across services.
