Job summary

Onapsis is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join a global engineering team in Dallas. You will apply software engineering to operations, build automation, and embed reliability into the software lifecycle from day one.

You will own production environments, diagnose complex issues across distributed cloud services, and design telemetry and tooling to eliminate toil and improve resilience. Excellent Linux, networking, and programming skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering role supporting production distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Beginner knowledge of programming skills such as Java and Python.
• Intermediate knowledge of SRE Observability practices and monitoring.
• Understanding of SLI, SLO, SLA methodologies.
• Beginner knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration management.
• Beginner knowledge of Containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Intermediate knowledge in scripting and automation (Bash or Python).
• Experience with AI coding assistants for daily tasks, debugging, and prototyping.
• Experience managing Linux, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2/EKS).
• Strong troubleshooting and learning ability, and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Own production environments with shared full‑stack ownership.
• Diagnose complex issues across distributed cloud services and stateful infra.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation tooling to reduce toil.
• Embed reliability into the software lifecycle from day one.
• Collaborate with product teams to improve telemetry and observability.
