Axon seeks an experienced APX SRE CloudOps engineer to advance the Zero Touch Platform, writing code and automating cloud operations at scale. You will develop workflows, APIs and services, participate in on-call rotations, and drive reliable automation across distributed systems.

The role blends software development with DevOps ownership, requiring strong coding, collaboration and architectural influence in a hybrid Boston/Seattle office setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Experience using multiple languages (Python, Go, C#, Java).
• Experience operating in Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS.
• Experience using IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Builder-operator mindset with production ownership (uptime, SLOs, on-call, incident leadership).
• Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop Temporal workflows and Go services on the Zero Touch Platform that automate cloud operations at scale.
• Write code that is performant, maintainable, clear, and concise; participate in code reviews, design reviews, and CI/CD.
• Build foundational platforms and tools enabling engineering teams to provision services rapidly, securely, and cost-effectively.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response; identify and prioritize automation targets.
• Debug and resolve issues in cloud-native distributed systems.
• Educate the organization to adopt improved architectural patterns.
