Job summary
Axon Enterprise is seeking a Platform Engineer to drive architectural decisions and build a Kubernetes-based platform for lifecycle management of its core infrastructure. The role requires leading cross-team efforts and shaping data-store services to serve millions of users.
You’ll design scalable architectures, implement automation, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize platform usage and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering
- 7+ years software engineering experience
- Experience with platform automation tooling
- Design and operate distributed systems at scale
- Experience with agentic AI tooling/LLM dev tools
- Microservices architecture and migration from monoliths
- Cloud services across Azure, AWS, or GCP
Responsibilities
- Drive agentic coding workflows, IaC practices, and code reviews across the platform
- Lead long term architectural decisions and standardization for platform technologies
- Design and build a Kubernetes-based platform for lifecycle management
- Collaborate with Axon teams to guide application design patterns for platform services
- Build and operate a self-service datastore platform
- Partner with application teams to diagnose datastore bottlenecks
