Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 2+ years applied experience in software engineering.
• Ability to code in at least one programming language.
• Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for SRE workflows with data sensitivity.
• Ability to assess AI-assisted operational recommendations for correctness and risk.
• Experience maintaining a cloud-based infrastructure.
• Familiar with site reliability concepts, observability, and telemetry.
• Familiar with containers or Linux/Windows environments.
• Emerging knowledge of CI/CD practices and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Executes small to medium projects independently, progressing to design and delivery.
• Writes high-quality, maintainable code following best practices.
• Uses enterprise AI to speed up incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis.
• Triages, examines, diagnoses, and resolves incidents with cross-functional teams.
• Identifies toil and works to eliminate it via systems engineering or code changes.
• Implements observability patterns, SLOs, monitoring, and alerting for transparency.
• Identifies recurring toil and reliability risks using AI with measurable SLO outcomes.
