Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Software Development Engineer - SRE in Rhode Island to ensure reliability and scalability of distributed store technologies powering pharmacy platforms and POS systems. You will drive observability, incident response, and DevOps practices to improve resilience and lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related technology roles.
• 2+ years of overall digital or other applicable technology delivery experience.
• 2+ years of experience in delivering software in a large-scale environment with reliability and resilience concepts.
• 1+ year of experience with programming languages/frameworks.
• 1+ year of experience on Cloud Technologies (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Observability & monitoring: implement solutions to ensure visibility into systems.
• Performance & reliability: identify bottlenecks and improve lead time and change failure rates.
• Microservices & deployments: champion containerization with Kubernetes and CI/CD automation.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and store operations to ensure high availability.
