Job summary

EXPANSIA in Hollywood, MD is seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join the Aether Aerospace defense technology platform. Immediate start; you must be able to obtain government clearance and have experience in aerospace welding.

You will read blueprints, perform welds, fabricate fixtures, and follow safety PPE protocols. AWS D17.1 certification is preferred; overtime and weekends may be required. Work hours are 6am-4pm Mon-Thu and 6am-3pm Friday.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 4+ Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder.
• Current and valid certification(s) a plus.
• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings.
• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development.
• Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.
• General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.
• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required.

$31.76 - $39.71 an hour There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
