Job summary

Aether Aerospace in Hollywood, MD is seeking a full-time TIG Welder who can obtain a government clearance. You will read blueprints, weld to project specs, and prepare fixtures for production welding.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED and 1+ year welding experience in aerospace or commercial settings; AWS D17.1 certification is a plus. Valid PPE and ability to lift 75 lb are expected.

Location: Hollywood, MD Day Shift: 6am-4pm Mon-Thur and 6am-3pm Friday

We are seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join our team. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform different weld methods based on project requirements
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
• Creating fixturing for production welding environments
• Possession of current AWS D17.1 certification (aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Ability toobtain Secret Clearance
Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 1+ Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder. Current and valid certification(s) a plus.

• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development
• Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.
• General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
• Ability tolift upto 75lbson a daily basis.
• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts asrequired

$21.99 - $30.53 an hour

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
