Aether Aerospace is hiring a TIG Welder for full-time, on-site work in Hollywood, MD. The candidate must be able to obtain a government clearance and have strong welding, fabrication, and reading of complex plans and diagrams.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years as a commercial/aerospace welder, with current AWS D17.1 certification preferred. The role includes overtime and potential night shifts.

We are seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join our team. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform different weld methods based on project requirements
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
• Demonstrated proficiency in advanced fabrication methods - preferably within the aerospace industry
• Creating fixturing for production welding environments
• Possession of current AWS D17.1 certification (aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 4+ Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder. Current and valid certification(s) a plus.

• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development
• Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.
• General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.
• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required
