Job summary

Aether Aerospace, formed by JHNA, CTSi, and EXPANSIA Group, seeks a full-time TIG Welder to support defense technology initiatives in Hollywood, MD. Candidates must be able to obtain a secret clearance and demonstrate strong welding and blueprint-reading skills.

Responsibilities include TIG welding per project requirements, interpreting plans, and adhering to safety and PPE protocols. Certification is a plus; overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Location: Hollywood, MD

We are seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join our team. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform TIG weld methods based on project requirements.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Ability toobtain Secret Clearance

Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma/GEDand 3 Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder. Current and valid certification(s) a plus.

• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development
• Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.
• General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
• Ability tolift upto 75lbson a daily basis.
• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts asrequired

$25 - $41 an hour

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
