Job summary

Aether Aerospace is hiring a full-time TIG Welder in Hollywood, MD, with night shift 2pm-1am Mon-Thur (4-10s). The candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and have foundational knowledge of welding applications. Responsibilities include interpreting plans, welding to spec, and creating production fixturing.

Candidate should hold a High School Diploma or GED and have 1+ year of commercial/aerospace welding experience; AWS D17.1 certification is a plus.

Location: Hollywood, MD and Nightshift: is 2pm-1am Mon-Thur (4-10s)

We are seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join our team. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform different weld methods based on project requirements

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.

• Creating fixturing for production welding environments

• Possession of current AWS D17.1 certification (aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Ability toobtain Secret Clearance
Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 1+ Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder. Current and valid certification(s) a plus.

• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings

• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development

• Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.

• General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.

• Ability tolift upto 75lbson a daily basis.

• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).

• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts asrequired

$21.99 - $30.53 an hour
