Job Responsibilities:

Technical Skills

  • Mechanical: Must have hands-on experience troubleshooting pneumatic controls, cylinders, valves, and making necessary repairs. Ability to replace gearboxes, bearings, drive shafts, sprockets, and drive chains. Capable of operating lathe, milling machine, and TIG welding equipment. Able to make mechanical repairs to fixtures and assembly aids.
  • Electrical: Read electrical schematic drawings and control logic programming. Knowledge of PLC and controls using Allen Bradley and Control Logix. Hands-on experience with conveyance systems and controls. Ability to troubleshoot electrical failures and repair motors, contactors, relays, power supplies, fuses, frequency drives, PLC cards, RF readers, inductive and capacitive proximity sensors. Understand Device NET.
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution System): Troubleshoot and interface PLC logic with MES control systems. Proficiency with Microsoft and other manufacturing-related software.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma in a related field, certification in Industrial Electricity or Electronics required, or a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Industrial Electricity. Hydraulics/Pneumatics and Fabricating experience preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance operations, and related processes with 5 years of progressive experience in an automotive (JIT) Tier 1 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
