Job summary

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We are seeking a Sr System Development Engineer (SysDE III) to join our team to integrate machines with MES, build custom manufacturing applications, and deploy applied AI in satellite production.

You will connect PLCs, SCADA, robots, and production equipment to enterprise systems, create dashboards and digital work instructions, and design AI solutions for predictive maintenance and quality assurance in satellite production.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design, automation, deployment and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming in modern languages (Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Bridge IT and OT by integrating plant-floor equipment with MES using OPC UA, MQTT, and REST APIs.
• Build real-time data pipelines for end-to-end production visibility and data-driven decisions.
• Develop dashboards, digital work instructions, production monitoring, and quality traceability.
• Design and deploy AI solutions for predictive maintenance and quality inspection.
• Collaborate with controls and manufacturing engineers for scalable digital solutions.
