Job summary

Amazon in Redmond is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and operate globally distributed systems enabling Leo to achieve low single-digit-second query responses with AI-driven operational intelligence.

You will build cloud services, data pipelines, and agentic AI components for telemetry analysis, anomaly detection, and autonomous problem-solving across satellites, gateways, and customer terminals, delivering high-quality internet service worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• 1+ years of SDE or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full stack contributions across front-end, back-end, data, and AI/ML layers.
• Design and implement components of multi-agent AI systems that analyze telemetry to detect anomalies and predict failures.
• Build agentic workflows that triage system issues and generate actionable insights for operations teams.
• Develop intelligent agents capable of coordinating across distributed systems.
• Implement reinforcement learning-based agents that optimize performance under varying conditions.
• Build natural language interfaces and RAG systems for context-aware interactions.
• Design and implement hybrid search strategies for semantic retrieval across patterns and behaviors.
• Establish testing pipelines and feedback loops for agent performance and reliability.
• Design and implement components of a scalable S3-based Data Lakehouse with metadata management and lineage.
• Enable cross-domain federated queries for near real-time analytics.
