Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented IT Contract Management professional to support the project lead in the organization’s strategic plans. You will manage end-to-end purchasing agreements for major IT vendors, including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, ServiceNow, and Dell, and provide business planning, invoicing, and reporting support.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least five years of IT or business experience with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field.
  • Five years IT or business experience incl. PM, analysis, forecasting or market analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of vendor management and purchasing processes.
  • Experience with large IT vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, ServiceNow, Dell.

Responsibilities

  • Manage lifecycle of purchasing agreements for assigned Vendors.
  • Maintain relationships with Vendors for effective collaboration.
  • Monitor contracts to ensure compliance and report risks.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting on contract status and vendor relationships.
  • Identify demand for products and services from stakeholders enterprise-wide.
  • Support development of business cases and financial/cost analyses.
  • Conduct external research and quantitative analysis as required.
  • Assist in growth initiatives with analytical recommendations.
  • Coordinate communications with internal and external partners.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, supports the project lead with the organization's strategic plan(s).

The IT Contract Management (ITCM) team is responsible for the management of strategic, enterprise-wide hardware, software, and cloud vendors. As a member of the team you will manage the acquisition of products and services from assigned IT Vendors and be responsible for ongoing administration of the Vendor including: business planning support, invoicing, reporting, and be the SME for the Vendor’s contracts and licensing. The ITCM team works closely with IT Technology Owners, IT Asset Management, TBM, Finance, Sourcing, and Legal.

Essential Functions
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of all purchasing agreements for assigned Vendors including primary responsibility for management of acquisition projects to meet contractual or organizational deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor vendors and agreements to ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions and identify, report, and mitigate risks and compliance concerns.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting on contract status and Vendor relationship.
  • Identifies and validates demand for products and services from stakeholders throughout the enterprise.
  • Assists in the development of business cases and financial and costing analysis.
  • Conducts external research and quantitative analysis as required.
  • Identifies, researches, analyzes and makes recommendations to support the organization's growth objectives.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of business plans against objectives.
  • Coordinates communications with internal and external partners and ensures all deliverables are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement, or market/competitive analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical and critical thinking ability with time management and management skills.

Strong negotiation, communications, and human relations skills.

Knowledge with financial analysis, purchasing processes, and vendor management.

Experience with large IT Vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, ServiceNow, and Dell.

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

US Pay Range: $6,168.90-$10,898.39/month
