Job summary

Supermicro seeks a Sr. Global Stock Plan Administrator to join the Accounting team in San Jose, CA. You will manage day-to-day global equity compensation programs, maintain equity systems, process transactions, and support financial reporting with high accuracy and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of equity administration, strong Excel, and deep knowledge of stock-based compensation accounting. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Stock Plan Administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience administering global equity programs (stock options and RSUs).
  • Experience with Equity Edge Online (EEO) required; Merrill Lynch platforms a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel for large data sets and reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of stock-based compensation accounting and tax reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with professionals at all levels.
  • Experience supporting multinational/global equity programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of Equity Edge Online and Merrill Lynch databases.
  • Administer global equity transactions (options and RSUs) accurately and timely.
  • Manage quarterly equity grant process with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and maintain electronic equity award agreements.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, year-end reconciliations of equity records.
  • Prepare journal entries and schedules for stock-based compensation and related accounting.
  • Assist with SEC Forms 3, 4, and 5 for Section 16 insiders.
  • Support equity-related disclosures for Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, and proxy statements.
  • Prepare tax reports for NQ, ISO, and RSU to Payroll.
  • Generate reports from Equity Edge Online for Finance, Tax, HR, Legal, Payroll, and others.
  • Coordinate with transfer agent for settlement and DWAC transactions.
  • Provide excellent service to employees and executives worldwide regarding awards.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Legal, Finance, vendors, brokers, and auditors on equity matters.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
  • Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Summary

The Sr. Global Stock Plan Administrator will join our Accounting team in San Jose, CA, and be responsible for the day‑to‑day administration of the Company's global equity compensation programs. This individual contributor role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of equity administration systems, processing equity transactions, managing the global equity grant process, and supporting month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end accounting and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, possesses strong analytical and technical accounting skills, demonstrates advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Stock Plan Administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Equity Edge Online (EEO) and Merrill Lynch equity administration databases.
  • Administer global equity transactions, including stock option and restricted stock unit (RSU) grants, cancellations, exercises, vesting, and releases, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Manage the quarterly equity grant process, coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain electronic equity award agreements for all grants.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year‑end equity reconciliations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of equity records.
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules related to stock‑based compensation and other equity‑related accounting activities.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC Forms 3, 4, and 5 for Section 16 insiders.
  • Support the preparation of equity‑related disclosures for quarterly Forms 10‑Q, the annual Form 10‑K, and the proxy statement.
  • Prepare and provide non‑qualified stock option (NQ), incentive stock option (ISO), and RSU tax reports to the Payroll team.
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports from the Equity Edge Online database to support Finance, Tax, Human Resources, Legal, Payroll, and other business partners.
  • Coordinate with the Company's transfer agent to ensure the timely settlement of equity transactions and initiate and reconcile DWAC (Deposit/Withdrawal at Custodian) transactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and timely support to employees, executives, and other equity participants worldwide by responding to inquiries regarding equity awards and transactions.
  • Partner effectively with Human Resources, Payroll, Legal, Finance, external vendors, brokers, and auditors on equity‑related matters.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to audit requests, and assisting with equity‑related reviews and investigations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance the efficiency of global equity administration.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience administering global equity compensation programs, including stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs).
  • Experience with Equity Edge Online (EEO) is required; experience with Merrill Lynch equity administration platforms is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large data sets, perform reconciliations, and create complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong understanding of stock‑based compensation accounting, equity administration processes, and applicable tax reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and business partners at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Experience supporting multinational or global equity programs is preferred.
Salary Range

$137,000 - $152,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
