Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Development Manager, Computer Backup to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This leadership role will guide a distributed engineering organization responsible for a critical data protection product that serves a large customer base. You will set technical direction across desktop and backend components, while partnering closely with Product leadership to shape priorities and delivery planning. The position blends architectural oversight, cross-functional coordination, and people leadership in a fast-moving, low-bureaucracy environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $205,000 – $240,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team, including desktop and backend leads
• Set long-term technical direction for the product, with a focus on scalability and growth

Qualifications

• Strong command of agile development processes and ceremonies
• Demonstrated ability to manage distributed, remote engineering teams effectively
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus
